The Untold Tales of the Greenrush is an autobiography based on the true story of my coming of age in the medical cannabis industry. Due to the quasi legal and clandestine nature of the nascent cannabis industry in 2008, I have very few contemporary notes, and even less photos. At that time, the Feds were still regularly raiding and incarcerating activists and entreprenuers who were doing their best to play by the local rules. It was common sense back then, to avoid keeping any records which could be used as evidence against you by law enforcement.

As a result, of the dearth of good records, I’ve been forced to piece together the story almost entire from the memories of myself and my former business partners. In just a few, very limited cases in the book, I’ve combined or contrived the unfolding of events in the story for dramatic or comic purposes. In many, but not all cases, I’ve changed names, and/or other identifying characteristics, at the request of my characters.

I especially want to thank Adam Mints for his help remembering events and dialogue and for assistance with reviewing and editing, as well as Robert Johnson, for contributing content notes to the first draft. Also, because as mentioned above, we didn’t take a lot of pictures in those days, but I still wanted to break up the text with images, I filled this book almost entirely with images from Pexels.
